ASUS Announces ROG Strix and TUF Gaming Boards
ASUS has announced the latest additions to their B550 lineup. ROG Strix B550-A Gaming and TUF Gaming B550-Plus (Wi-Fi), designed for 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen desktop processors. The new arrivals feature WiFi 6, 2.5 Gbps Ethernet, robust power delivery, high-frequency RAM compatibility, BIOS FlashBack and AI Noise-Canceling Microphone (AI Mic) technology. The latter works by applying advanced filters to ensure background noise is cleanly filtered out.
All B550 motherboards feature ASUS Performance Enhancement (APE) that optimizes BIOS settings to achieve the best performance for each board. APE also raises the power limit of the 3rd Gen Ryzen CPUs to get up to a 17.5% performance boost.
The latest addition to the ROG Strix B550 series, ROG Strix B550-A Gaming is made for builders who want a performance-oriented board with an eye-catching colour scheme. Its 12+2 power stage VRM is ready for top-end Ryzen chips and 8+4-pin ProCool auxiliary power connectors with solid pins ensure steady and stable power delivery to those power stages.
Intel® I255-V 2.5 Gbps Ethernet provides superfast networking, while the SupremeFX S1220A audio codec ensures superior sound.
Aesthetically, Strix B550-A Gaming is Strix through and through, with the ROG eye logo, recessed cybertext patterning and a pre-mounted I/O shield. Addressable RGB LED strip headers and Aura Sync support allow for additional customisation for those wanting to stand out.
ASUS TUF Gaming B550-Plus (Wi-Fi) is perfect for those looking for a high-performance ATX motherboard ready for 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen processors. It features a Digi+ VRM and 8+2 DrMOS voltage regulator module, ProCool sockets and military-grade TUF components for maximum durability. Enhanced cooling measures include numerous VRM heatsinks and dual M.2 slots and a fanless heatsink for the PCH.
TUF Gaming B550-Plus (Wi-Fi) features next-generation connectivity with a PCIe 4.0 M.2 slot with speeds of up to 64 Gbps. It also features USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A and USB Type-C support. Intel WiFi 6 and 2.5 Gb Ethernet ensure high performance online gaming and is further supplemented by TUF LANGuard and TurboLAN technology. Two addressable RGB LED strip headers and Aura Sync support allow for additional customisation.
The Realtek S1200A codec with DTS Custom delivers pristine audio with a 108-dB signal-to-noise ratio for stereo line-out and 103 dB for line-in. TUF Gaming B550-Plus (Wi-Fi) also features AI Noise-Canceling Microphone technology for crystal-clear in-game voice communication.
There is currently no pricing or set time frame of their release.
