The ASUS Rapture is Upon Us
ASUS is bestowing the Rapture GT-AC2900, an 802.11ac Wi-Fi sporting gaming router. One of the key features of the router is triple-level game acceleration which prioritises gaming packets via a dedicated gaming port on the router. The game acceleration also uses adaptive QoS (Quality of Service) to ensure that traffic remains the main focus of your router.
ASUS and NVIDIA have worked closely together on this router to GeForce NOW cloud-gaming service which as far as I know isn’t available in Australia.
NAT issues with your console are a thing of the past with the Rapture as ASUS have used Open NAT to reduce setup to in three simple steps.
Lastly there’s AiMesh, the mesh technology of ASUS that will create a WiFi mesh network with other support ASUS devices.
Availability is scheduled for early June with an RRP of AUD $499.00.
