Razer Viper Features Optical Switches
Razer‘s latest in a long line of products is the light weight Viper mouse, a 5G Sensor that also features optical button switches. When you couple the 5G, 16000 DPI sensor with a Razer Speedflex Cable and fine tuning in the Razer style, you’ll be smashing your opponents in no time.
The optical switches are key to this mouse and Razer has spent a lot of time on them. They’re fastest switches and offer three times the actuation speed of traditional mechanical mouse switches. No longer will you be the victim of bounce delays, the infra-red light beam passes through a shutter to fire an electrical signal to the computer. The switches are rated for 70 million clicks and respond instantaneously to every finger press.
Razer consulted with esports competitors on the Viper, MIBR CS:GO legend Epitácio “TACO” de Melo was using a prototype of the Razer Viper in tournament matches over the past year.
As soon as I laid my eyes on the Razer Viper, I fell in love with it because the shape is just perfect, the click of the optical switches feels smoother and faster, and the flexibility of the cable makes it awesome for CS:GO.TACO from MIBR
Razer really went all out on this one with it being the lightest wired moused they’ve ever made, at only 69 grams. Of course being a Razer product there is customisation. DPI settings can be fine-tuned through the Razer Synapse 3 software and stored using the Viper’s on-board DPI storage, this allos you to instantly access to your personal settings wherever you are. The Viper is fitted with eight programmable buttons, customisable with macros and secondary functions, giving users quick and easy access to critical actions.
Recommended pricing comes in at AUD $134.95 / NZD $149.95, it’s available from Razer.com and all your favourite shops.
