HP Show Off Omen X 2S Dual Screen Laptop
Have you been waiting for the day when your laptop has dual screens? You should probably keep waiting because this is kind of dual screens but not really.
The primary screen options give you a choice of a 15 inch 1080p 144Hz G-Sync, 240Hz G-Sync or 4K. The secondary screen however is a 6 inch 1080p and can be found between the main screen and keyboard. What this screen allows you to do is hit a dedicated button when that windows is in focus on your main screen and move it to the smaller screen. Alternatively you could pull a section of your screen, such as a map in a game.
It all boils down the specs and at only 20mm thick you might not expect much but you would be wrong. The Omen X 2S can rock up to a 9th gen Intel Core-i9 (8 core), 32GB of RAM, Optional Optane modules and a GeForce GTX 2080 Max-Q.
At only 20mm cooling is key to be able to keep the hardware at reasonable temperatures. HP have included 5 way airflow cooling and liquid metal is applied to the CPU .
You’re going to want a separate mouse because the track pad is in the awkward place on the right which can double as a numeric keypad.
No word on battery life at this stage but not great comes to mind.
