ASUS ROG Phone II is a Beast
We all remember the amazement of the original ROG Phone, but now they've got a second one on the way and it's even better with the ROG phone II. Featuring the latest Snapdragon 855+ chip that reportedly hits 2.96 GHz (for which ASUS has implemented a 3D vapor chamber cooler), you'll be gaming at the highest frame rates for quite a while.
The display on the ROG Phone has also been beefed up with a 6.6 inch FHD+ AMOLED running at 2340 x 1080. Not only that but it will hit a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz and touch rate of 240 Hz. There's also Gorilla Glass 6, 10-bit HDR, 10000:1 contrast ratio and 108% of the DCI-P3 colour space.
You're not going anywhere without RAM and storage though and you'll get 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM as well as 512GB of storage. To power all this you're going to need a substantial battery so they lobbed in a 6000 mAh battery which is said to be able to game at 60 Hz for around 7 hours.
When it comes to the camera you could say the original didn't really shine, for the second generation they've gone with a 48MP primary sensor along side a 13MP wide-angle lens. On the front there's a 24MP camera so you can use faceappp to make yourself look old.
Rounding things out there's an under screen fingerprint reader, USB-C with 30W fast charging and even a headphone jack.
Pricing as availability are still TBA, all we know is it won't be cheap.
