ASUS Announces ROG Swift PG27UQX Monitor with G-SYNC Ultimate
ASUS are going all out with the ROG Swift PG27UQX with G-SYNC Ultimate, the world’s first gaming display to utilise mini-LED technology. The enables 4K HDR visuals with super-high contrast ratios.
Mini LED screens feature physically smaller LEDs than conventional LED screens and can be packed more densely. ASUS are packing mini LEDs that are between 200 and 300 micrometres in size into the Swift PG27UQX. This means ASUS was able to fit 2304 LEDs into the 27 inch 4K IPS display.
Local dimming means more impressive high details HDR with dramatic contrast ratios. Because of the use of micro LEDs the power consumption is down approximately 7% and as a side effect heat output is also lower.
Other features are an overclockable 144Hz refresh rate, quantum-dot technology, wide DCI-P3 97% and Adobe RGB 99% colour gamut, 1000-nits peak brightness, DisplayHDR 1000 compliance, NVIDIA® G-SYNC™ Ultimate support and integrated Aura RGB illumination with Aura Sync support.
Swift PG27UQX also introduces smart fan controls, allowing you to adjust fan speeds directly from the display.
