AMD's vice president of data centre design engineering, Raghu Nambiar stated “AMD intends to be an early adopter of PCIe 4.0 to meet the ever-increasing need for efficient, high-performance computing resources,”
It is expected that the Vega 20 7nm GPU based on the Navi architecture will feature PCIe 4.0 when released in 2019.

The increase in bandwidth of PCIe 4.0 has much wider impacts than just graphics cards, SSD's and other devices can also take advantage of it.
