All The New Samsung Stuff – February 2019

Samsung has today unveiled the Galaxy S10 Lineup which is split into 3 members, the Galaxy S10e with a 5.8” Full HD+ screen, Galaxy S10 with a 6.1” Quad HD+ screen and the Galaxy S10+ with a 6.4” Quad HD+ screen, the second 2 strangely default to Full HD+ but can be changed to Quad HD+ in the settings.

Now the big selling point of these is no notch, they have a hole punch (sort of) camera in the Dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O Display which utilises laser cutting to tuck that camera into the display with expert precision. Another first for Samsung is the In-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor which is not available on the S10e but it puts the finger print reader in the display, no more buttons required, AMOLED helps enable this to be possible.

Depending on the model you can get up to 5 lenses, 3 on the back and 2 on the front (for the S10+), each with different features, There’s a Telephoto Camera for amazing zoom possibilities (not available on S10e), a Wide-angle Camera for everyday moments, and an Ultra Wide Camera for panoramic landscapes.

For something a little more niche there’s the Galaxy Fold which features a 4.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED display on the outside which unfolds to a 7.3-inch Dynamic AMOLED Infinity Flex Display with a QXGA+ resolution. The processor manufacturer is unknown but what is known is that it’s a 7nm, 64-bit processor and has 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM along widh 512GB of storage. There’s also a total of six cameras, with three on the back, two on the inside and one on the front.

Also announced today are the Galaxy Watch Active, Galaxy Fit and Samsung’s first truly wireless headphones the Galaxy Buds because what else would they be called.
